If you are Facebook friends with me, you may have recently seen where I was featured on The Eleanor Project. The project is the brainchild of my friends Terry & Jen. It promotes the idea that all women are beautiful, no matter what we look like. I am humbled and flattered to be included. I operate under the assumption that like newborn babies, there is something beautiful about everyone. I see the problem of women not seeing their own beauty as a confidence issue.

Sneak Peek
Laundry Fail.
In the current madness that is my life, I’ve been alternately worried about dropping a ball while patting myself on the back for not dropping a ball. Friday night, I realized I dropped a ball. Not a big one, just as I was crawling into bed about 10 pm Friday night, I realized I hadn’t washed Edie’s soccer uniform. Which meant it had sat and smouldered in her laundry basket all week and was going to be smelling fully ripe for her game in the morning. An Accidental Career.
March madness has morphed into Assiduous April. I knew at the onset of March it was going to be busy. And then things happened…..all good things, but it seemed like all I was doing some days was adding to my to-do list instead of actually tackling any items on the list. My Spring Break Souvenirs.
My family went on spring break and all they bought me back was a stack of new cookbooks.
Finally.
We had our first dinner from the garden for the season last night.
It’s good to have wine friends.
My friend Bonnie‘s husband Ted is a bit of a wine guy. When not busy being a neurologist, he does podcasts and was a founding partner of a wine importing and distribution business. I love going over to their house for drinks because there is always good wine and even better, Ted likes to pull out new things for me to try. Like the bottle of Georgian wine he sent over for my birthday a few years ago. Continue reading
A Cooking Lesson.
In this week’s adventures with my Girl Scouts, we went on a field trip to the Charlottesville Cooking School where they earned their cooking badge. They have been looking forward to this for months, having asked for a lesson at the school back when we planned the year together back in September. Continue reading

Projects and pizza.
When answering the question “What are you up to” over the last few weeks, my answer has been a curt “busy”. Busy is a gross understatement. I’ve had a number of projects on back burners that all seemingly reached a boiling point at once while having several fantastic opportunities fall into my lap, with everything needing my attention these last two weeks. It’s been a juggling act like I’ve never had.
