We went up to the farm this weekend, where Pat helped Ryan on a barn project
And I wandered around taking pretty pictures, trying to capture the fields of Queen Anne’s Lace
and whatever else I happened to come across.
It just being me & Pat, I only brought the necessary supplies for the weekend.
Don’t be fooled by that watermelon sitting there. It was juiced
and turned into watermelon margaritas.
I also picked a mess of beans, a good bit of which Ryan sent me home with. In addition to being last night’s dinner, a few quarts went into the freezer and I pickled half a dozen pints.
Because Oysterfest will be here before we know it and we’ll be needing pickled green beans on the bloody mary table.
Great photos! I love fields of Queen Ann’s Lace. Also love that lost lego figure and the chicken butts 🙂
Love the photos, the first one is especially gorgeous and love the chicken butt feathers! And you people pack the best necessary supplies!
I realized I had too much tequila and not enough bourbon, so I’m trying to fix that problem the only way I know how – sharing!
Cheers! *clink*
Heh. Chicken butts.
We have tons of Queen Anne’s Lace here. But no margaritas.
Too much tequila in my liquor closet equals margs.
Love the photos! I’ve never seen a field full of Queen Anne’s Lace before. Hope you enjoyed those watermelon margaritas!
It was beautiful. Driving down a country road yesterday I saw a field of black eye susans – I should have stopped to take a picture!
